I have a 2018 Escape. I've been car camping and sometimes I'm parked in a dark place, maybe off the road, and I want to open a door or roll down a window without calling attention to myself by lighting up the vehicle. In my old manual-everything simpler-world pickup truck, I had a switch for the interior light, with 3 positions: 1. Off always. 2. On when door open. 3. On always.

I'm missing that #1. Is anything like that possible with the Escape?

I suppose if it's not adjustable in the SYNC system or with a knob somewhere, I might be able to find a fuse to pull out when I camp for the night.

You could add a switch. I don't know of anything in SYNC that re-configures the lighting.
