I started out on a dirt track in a side mount go-cart. I was racing in Indianland SC when I could reach the pedals. It may have been many years before I could really scratch the itch that gave me, but I got there. ;)

In high school I went to the High School Nationals here in Michigan and I raced a friends '83 Mustang with a 460 in it! We came in second. Got beat by a ZR-1 Corvette with nitrous!! Ever since that very first pass down a drag strip I have been hooked. Everyone who has done it knows the feeling. I race in the NMRA regularly and am always testing at Milan dragway in Michigan.

In highschool my friends were starting to get Nova's, chevelle's and old camaro's. I was a total ch#vy girl -- knew nothing about Ford's. We would go to the track, streetraces and I just fell in love with the 'scene'!

Then one of them bought a white stang coupe that was so cool, but he put a ch#vy 350 in it. So for a while I thought I'd get the same. Fortunately I go the white coupe and kept the 302! !

Kind of on the subj:
I got into actually dragracing by hanging out at the track down here. There was a woman that raced a mustang there and I thought she was so cool. So I started. Then in 97 I went to a Fun Ford event to race (my first big event) and I lucked out and there was an empty spot next to HER in the pitting area. I asked if that spot was taken and she said, 'Uh honey, spectactor parking is over there' and pointed. I was crushed - but just for 2 seconds. I ended getting down to a 13.58sec ETand was elated.

Still kickin',

Began my "career" 4 years ago...racing a 1965 Mustang Coupe. Change tires at the track, race, change em back and drive home. Got real serious real fast. Qualified for my NHRA Supergas license about 18 months ago. Now running a 65 Fastback in the high 9's low 10's.

Nothing better for clearing the mind.

After I drove a 5.0 the bug bit me. Maybe it was the smell of tire smoke.

Would somebody pry these catalogs away from me, the mods are making me go broke
