Greetings and salutations all...

Well I reckon a little introduction about me self... So far I have owned 3 Ford's all Rangers, and Ford's have always been in the family. I'm 22 graduated from college last May with a BSME (Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering) and I am into the real world as an Applications Engineer for SKF Bearings. Nice gig... Mostly I am off-roading with my Ranger. A nice 2001 Edge in Bright Red. Went through a 94 2WD and a 2000 4WD. Been a life long fan of the Mustang... Just waiting until I can afford the insurace on one. In my spare time I spend it either on my motorcycles or the snowmobiles... If it's got a motor then I'm usually on it! Oh and when I don't feel the need for piston power I'm on my mountain bikes... K2 full suspension and Giant Hard Tail....

As always any one close to Cattaraugus, NY drop me a line I'm always up for something.... :)

Welcome Wacky! Are you still spark knocking? Still haven't found a fix for mine. I posted pics of my truck and SVO down further in this forum, couldn't remember whether I had sent it to you or not. Didn't know you were into bikes, I used to be a big time dirt biker, got older and now spend more time on HD's. Still want a dirt bike or 4 wheeler again someday if I can find a place to ride it.

Sorry Mike

I lost your e-mail addy... I finally got my truck back... No spark knock yet... It's been pretty cold here... She's running like a top so far....

I like bikes... alot.. used to race dirt bikes in hare scrambles and enduro circuits around home... Too bad they all just phased out.... :(

So now I'm into street bikes... With the occasional off trail trip with the D/P Bike....

I would take it in to the dealer and have them run a diagnostics test.. All under warrenty of course :)

Cheers.... Mike

I'm set up to get mine checked out next week. Hopefully it will show something. I used to motocross a lot. We had a river back home that overflowed a dam, the resulting gorge from the river running down the mountain was a perfect place for a track. Used to break a bone there once in a while, know what I mean? First time I ran the track I attempted to jump a 7-8' wide ravine, trouble was the other side was as high as the side I was lauching from. Hit head on into the other side at probably 40 and broke both collar bones. It's funny now.

Mike

I just posted to you on another forum here as well, not sure which one. This place is huge.

WNY' ers unite!

Why is it that everyone from WNY:

a) races motorcycles (motorcross/superbike/etc)

b) has a VERY NASTY crash story to tell that they laugh about now that it's over? ;)

It's just something I've noticed lately :)

I can't wait for a heatwave to hit. Motorcycle withdrawl is really killing me right now

Hey Rx3... I've did both...

I used ot race dirt bikes... and just last December (2000) I rolled my then brand new Ranger.... I guess I was trying out for the Joey Chitwood Show :) Damn Firestone tires packed up with slush and as I hit the soft and chewy field I slid into the tires stuck and sank into the mud, therefore throwing me tumbing to my roof.... I only barrell rolled 2 1/2 times... But it totalled the truck good.... Hey those Ranger cages hold up well!

Cheers... Mike

Hey, I could write a book. And just for the record, I'm from WV, so not all the crazy ones are in WNY. I've hit cars with a bike when the car coming towards me made a left turn, rolled backwards off high walls on strip mines, wrecked more cars/trucks than I can count. And I have the maximum safe driver discount through my insurance. Grew up late in life. Went airborn in a 280Z one time at over 100 when it spun out on a wet spot, turned around and started to lift. Needed those Nascar roof flaps. Ended up going up and embankment, bouncing off a tree, and falling off a 15' rock cliff back onto the edge of the highway. Rolled a 78 F150 stepside with 3" suspension and 3" body lift with 12.50 x 33's on it one time, took forever for that thing to complete a roll. Maybe will do a book sometime as there are always stories behind the stories.

Yeah, this cold weather does suck. The old HD that I have is probably rusted from waiting for winter to end.

Mike
