It had 320K when it caught on fire in down town Annapolis, whole front end was in flames for some unkown reason. I went running. Three police officers couldnt put her out, so they called in the big water truck. Wish I had my camcorder back then.
That sux dude! Hope you got another one! if not, I've seen quite a few on sale going for very cheap on the internet!
There is a website maintained by an early 90s Lincoln Town Car owner whose car caught on fire and did lots of damage not only to the car (destroying it) but also to his house (garage)
Could have been a malfunction, however I don't think Ford is doing anything about it!
Is this a common occurance? I'm always on the lookout for things like this just to be on the safe side. If anyone knows of any technical bulletins or anything relating to CV fires, please post.
Sorry to hear she burned up on you dude. At least she went out flaming rather than just rusting in a yard somewhere.
