Hi folks.
I'm after some help identifying which version Cleveland i have.
Engine in a vehicle currently.
Haven't located block serial numbers yet but I've taken a few photos.
Inlet manifold is marked 1TE8 76OA9925EA
Carb is a 4 barrel Holley.
I think its a 302.
Lots of ancilliaries bolted to it which need to come off.
Whole thing needs some tlc. Is that a fan extension welded to the top pulley ?,!
Pics attached.
Thanks
Matty

Hi Matty
Its very difficult to tell if its a 351 or 302 as they use the same block and externally look the same. The simplest way is to pull the plugs and try and measure the stroke length with a bit of wire and some marks on the wire. Its crude but you get an immediate answer. A 3inch stroke is 302 and 3.5inch stroke is 351

Having the block serial numbers would be a big help for you in identifying unless someone else on the forum has an idea .
yes i agree. I just cannot locate them. Fairly sure it's under the RHS front lower block area but there's nothing at that location on both sides. It may be hiding under gunk so i'm going to be using degreaser to try and address this.
