Was wondering if anyone can tell me what the ignition timing is for a 289ci mustang. Is it the same as a 302?

Depends on model..and if it has an original spec cam.

For manuals:-
"A" & "C" codes without Thermactor 6'
with Thermactor TDC
"K" codes 12'

For Automatics
289 - 6'
with thermactor TDC

These figures are from the shop manual, but as JAS says they only apply for standard spec motors
