That's it!
I'm gone,
I'm out of here,
I'm hitting the road.

Oh, did I said I was going on vacation this Saturday (the 9th)? Yup! Road trip here we come. Phoenix to San Francisco - San Francisco to Eugene - Eugene to Seattle - Seattle to Bend - Bend to Reno - Reno to Las Vegas - Las Vegas to Phoenix. It'll be fun! I haven't done a road trip for the last ten years.

Anyone want to give me any hints on what not to miss during our sightseeing adventure? This will be our first time in this part of the country. :wink2:

Sounds like a great route you've got planned there, I don't have anything to offer as far as sites. I travel a lot to the left coast (and Phoenix), but it's mostly in and out. I'm on vacation this week myself, the wife is "forcing" me to take her to the beach for a few days. Darn, got to remember the binoculars!

Take US 1 and Highway 101 up the coast, if possible from Ukiah, CA to Florence, OR. It is some amazing scenery, especially from Eureka to Crescent City, CA - right through the Redwoods. It may not be as fast as the freeway, but a much more enjoyable drive.:)

Dang....I need a vacation. It's been way too long since I've been up there.:(

Go for it man.:rocking: It's been so long since I have been on a road trip it's pathetic. I think I may have to do the same thing before the summer is over. Have fun, and drive safely.

Oh My Gawd........

Cripes, if you have not been to Las Vegas in 10 years YOU WILL NOT RECOGNIZE the place! I went there for the first time about 4 years ago and returned again at the end of last year, so much new stuff has been built and huge casinos that had been there FOREVER have been dynoBlasted into dust. While there make sure you see the PIRATE show (free) in front of the Mirage...its kind of a new Vegas Tradition!

:CraZ: I hope to take a trip cross the states driving in my brand new Escape!! I am so looking forward to it. I will drive thru Vegas, to LA ending in San Diego then back home. I found some hints on long distance driving equipment and prep over at http://www.escape-central.com  and I'm looking for more here (just found this site today from a post of J Lutterbie who posted over in the Yahoo Ford Escape club). Anyone with suggestions or who have taken a long trip, please let me know! My Escape is brand new so this will be a "break in " trip.
