I finally got the PGT woes fixed, Turns out the linkage in the tranny was loose, so we got it fixed, tighted it up and it wasnt leaking. Went for a test drive.. Great

So it was 22 celcius today so I kept it out, and returning home about 15 mins ago, I am driving down London road when out of no where a 4 foot by 2 foot cardboard rains down on the road, I hit it with my drivers side front end, and watched my fog light go out, the turn signal go out, and hear a scrape.. Immediatly I pulled over, got out and inspected uner the lights at the dealership

Yup.. 4 Week Old Paint Job - Fucked

The box contained numerous staples.. When I made contact with the box, it tore down the seam, exposing the stples which tore into my front bumper/fender, gouging it, scraping the paint, and causing the fog light bulb to snap, as well as my turn signal to crack

It was filled with syrofoam and newspaper, but jesus.. Why would that kinda box be flying around. Its Windy, but not that bad

So Im really mad.. I kept the box, which luckily has the shipping address.. An Interior design company across the road from where I hit it.. Marvelous

Guess who is getting a nasty phone call, and a bill to repair the damage on my baby

I hit a 5 gallon bucket on the freeway one day last summer,,

It bounced off 3 cars before coming my way,,which in turn i swearved to miss it (at 70mph) i hit it head on and spun out of control.
I regained my composer and proceded to spray all the way up the freeway looking for the work truck who dropped it (i hit 130 on the way up)

So i get to the truck and dial the number on the side.

2 weeks later i had a check in hand for $2500.00 for the $200.00 in damage.

Obviously they are liable for the damage caused then. I will most definatly be calling the business tomorrow and reporting this to them.

I would love to have them cut me a check like that, but I dont see that it is possible.

After doing some minor research, I can see that the site is owned by a family

I pitched a fit.

I just happen to have a gift of being able to pitch a fit in the right way.

I called the owner and told him what happened and said i will be calling a lawyer due to neglegance on part of his employees.

This is a different situation than what you are in,,ill explane if you call me.

This company is responsible. They should of not had anything of thiers in the streets, it is a saftey hazard and can be considered littering, especially if the shop is very close to where the incident happened. I wouldnt sue them, but I would ask them to pay for the damage if not look into a lawyer and see if they have broken any laws and so forth, you can also file a report with the police, but a lawyer would tell you if that would be a good idea or not.

Damn I hate when crap is scattered all around. I have hit airdams in the road late at night and all kinds of crap I have come close to hitting. Had stuff fly out of trucks but avoided the big stuff at least. Never did any real damage that bothered me and I have pretty much had newer cars for the most part. I understand getting upset but like you said. It probably will cost more than it is worth to sue them. Call them and pitch a fit and see what comes of it. You could always call an attorney and see what he thinks about it. Free consoltations are great.

Broke about $400 worth of ground effects....

I later got it fixed under an offroad claim that messed up my front bumper..... :dead:
