Has anyone else out there had to replace their intake manifold lately? We had to replace ours on the 3.0 b/c it was seriously leaking air and dripping oil. Is this a common problem around 100,000?

I replaced mine at @86K due to a severe vacuum leak at the mating surface of the intake / throttle body. What a bear of a problem to figure out. Can you believe they hold the throttle body on with two bolts, mounted caddy corner from each other? Talk about a recipe for disaster...

2001 24V Duratec. The car runs great now, but I was seriously considering getting rid of it due to the difficulty of diagnosing the problem. Glad I kept it.
