Can you get or do you need a bigger, better intercooler if you live in a hotter enviroment like Brisbane or far north. On here a dude stated that he waited for his T to cool down after driving it to a meet to get a better time. What are the options here? Is there a aftermarket that performs better and keeps the T cooler then stock?

There are plenty that will cool better and flow better yes but they cant just be put on with changes being made to the pcm.

what about an F6 intercooler?, its twice the size of the XR6 unit and should be covered as an official ford product (but im not 100% sure on that)

mate ford dont warrenty any thing as a stock item unless that actuall car came with that actuall part, i have a f6 i was going to put genuine ford racing gauges in i baught from ford but they said they would not warrent it or anything they could not even fit them for me if i wanted too, so i would imagine swapping a stock 6t cooler for a f6 cooler weould not be coverd, i live in brisbane and run the standard cooler at the moment and its fine if your worried id look at installing a water spray kit to your fmic (front mount intercooler)before swapping coolers tho i'd swap the pipe work under the hood around so the turbo is not sucking hot air from the other side of the engine aka do the battary to the passenger side and what not as thats prob going to cool your car down more then a bigger cool in stock form. but thats just me ask some of the x factor guys they are the guys to seek advice from.

there are coolers that are thoroughly tested on std t's with no side effects as yet but the posibility of side effects is there
