OK well since Ive ditched the manual conversion plan..Ive decied if I cant go fast, I will make it sound fast.

Firstly, I have covered every interior light with blue silicon sleeves. During the day they are completely usless, like most lights. But at night they look AWESOME IMO. (ill try and get pics of them soon) It was the easiest thing to do and it only cost me about $10.

Dellboy if you are out there...I really want to do my dash blue next so any advice would be good.

Secondly I got some new audio installed, I know bugger all about this stuff but I know what I like. My ghia now has the following:

Clarion HD 180w (its old I now but still good)

4' Clarion's in the front (they go pretty hard for little things)
6' Clarion's in the rear
Boss 400w 2ch amp behind the rear seat

(it was a bargin at straithfeild, I just wanted those little neons to brightin things up..they are seriously not that big)

12' Sony sub in a box in the boot

Im not one for hardcore sound but I really like my set up. Also it looks factory as well, Im not a fan of huge pods and cutting the crap out of the parcel shelf.

The sub goes well, I had my doubts because of the gas tank but its fine.

This will be my second last mod...sniff sniff...as I will start saving for my next ride and drive this thing into the ground. So yeah Im pretty happy with that.

always good mods, i did the silicon sleeve thing in my dash a while back, changed to LED's for a better colour, but its deffinately a nice change
the audio system would be a HUGE improvement over stock!

i see in your pic of the boot, with the sub and gas tank, there is no room anymore. Now how are you going to cart those dead bodies around, without having to chop them up first.

LED's lots of them, and alot of work to make it go blue and VISIBLE during the day in full sun and with sunnies on. I haven't just replaced the bulb holder with a LED, I had to further than that, I basically pulled the cluster apart, and then drilled holes around the speedo the size of a LED, then pushed them through and soldered the LEDS and resistors together and hooked them up to the bulb holder position for power, if you need more detail or if anyone wants more detail then drop me a PM ..... I am more than happy to answer any questions at all :0)

haha..i didn't mean it like that. Mate, the amount of $$ I have put into this thing im not about to trash the shyte out of it. Dont worry she gets treated well. I intend to trade it in later or do a private sale..im not really sure just yet.

jeez...ok well when i get myself organised I will come around to your house so you can...*cough*..show me how its done. I dont know if I should be going near my dash with a drill..lol...nah it will be fun and thanks for the offer.

yeah I know, and even if there was I wouldn't care, I think my car defines "rice" lol. I was just waiting for the attacks about the neons, but they are inside and no one will see them unless the seat is folded down.

They are meant to flicker with the beat, but flicker is a HUGE overstatement.
