Hi everybody...I am new to this forum..so hopefully...I am going about this the right way.
I have a problem...I have a 97 Taurus..and when I got home tonite...my lights came back on...by themselves.
The car was turned off...luckily a neighbour noticed and let me know.
We checked...and my lights were in the OFF position.
The car was turned OFF...everything was OFF...but my lights remain ON.
For now...we have disconnected the battery...so it doesn't go dead.
It is presently freezing rain out...so I will try to have it looked at tomorrow.
Any idea...what it may be?
Thanks.

Bad switch, relay or contact...check out all connections for broken insulation (touching something else), oxidation, or switch internally broken. Take things apart and look for things that don't look right. Beware of the airbag sensors in the dashboard however...those things can kill. If you're extremely concerned, they are disabled after the battery being disconnected for 2 minutes.

Good luck :hy:
