I have a 2014 Ford Escape which has just been recently infested with mice. Thank God they didn't do any real damage other than destroy my air filter which I am replacing. My car has gone into limp mode and I was just wondering how to get it out of limp mode. Will it automatically get out of limp mode once I replace the bad air filter or is there something specific I have to do to get it out of limp mode?
Please any help would be really appreciated!

When you cycle the ignition it should go back to normal. Though I would still check the throttle body wiring for damage as that’s usually what causes the ecu to go into limp mode in the first place.

What is limp mode ???????
When the vehicles computer senses certain faults with the engine or transmission, it reduces power and RPM's so that the vehicle can be driven safely to a repair facility without damaging the engine.
