Thought this would be a nice way to break the ice in this discussion...
Does anyone know why Lincoln does NOT offer a manual transmission on the V-8 version of the LS, while it does offer it on the V6? Are there any plans to introduce a 5 or 6 speed for the V-8?

LS Manual

It has been theorized that Jag cried a fit if the Lincoln had a manual, since they couldn't have one. The LS with the SST isn't all that bad, but a manual would be nice.

I really doubt that there is a manual transmission in the 8's future, since Lincoln expects only 5% sales of the manual. Presently, the manual sells about 3%.
