I was invited to this message board by Tim L--Marqman .

It is great that there is a forum developed to let all Ford enthusiasts mingle.

I own a Lincoln Mark VIII LSC Collector's Edition. That is the actual name of the model. It was assembled on the last day of regular production of the Mark VIII.

I am co-president of the Lincolns of Distinction, an international club dedicated to the preservation, restoration and modification of the Lincoln Mark VIII. Our site www.markviii.org is the largest site on the web dedicated to the Mark VIII. We have historical and technical information on the Mark VIII. Our message board has over 1200 active users. If you never thought of a Lincoln as a performance car, visit our site and you will change your mind.

Neighbors

Don,

Thanks for the welcome.

We are practically neighbors in the real world. I live in Queens. Our clubs should get together for some shows in the warmer weather. Maybe this forum can be used to get together several Ford clubs for a All-Ford show in the New York-Long Island area.

Our club is going to be heavily participating in All-Ford Carlisle. I hope to see people from this forum there.

Long Island Car Shows

Don,

Email me about any car shows your club is having. I will get out the word to the LOD (Lincolns of Distinction) members in the New York-Long Island area.

In October and November the East Coast Car Association has a charity car show and car run for Toys for Tots charity. It 's a fun and worthy event. The run takes you from Ridgewood, Queens to St. Mary's Children's Hospital in Bayside. The police block off all the roads on route. See http://www.toys4tots.8k.com/index.html for more information. I urge all car clubs in the area to participate in these events.

Sounds like fun, I'm sure we can get a bunch of Probe owners out there this year for a good cause ! :)

I know there's car shows at Belmont racetrack every year, well have to get the clubs together there sometime.
