I am trying to remove my S-belt to access and remove my water pump. I thought I was getting rid of the car two months ago so I trashed my Haynes manual. Sucks to be me. Anyway - I hear conflicting reports on how to loosen the tensioner pulley. I went counterclockwise and the nut just came loose, like I was removing it. I tried clockwise and was not able to budge it. I am using a box end 15 wrench. Is clockwise the way to go? Do I just need to use a cheater bar or something to get more force? Any help would be appreciated.
