Could be a good sign for the next V8 supercar round at Barbagallo. Pulled from V8 supercar web site:
LOWNDES AIMS TO DEFEND WESTERN SUPREMACY
Round 6 Barbagallo Raceway, Perth, WA
22-24 June, 2001

No other driver in the field can boast the superior results that new Gibson Ford driver, Craig Lowndes can lay claim to at Perth's Barbagallo Raceway, yet he will need to beat a growing list of serious contenders if he is to extend that record at this weekend's sixth round of the Shell Championship Series.

This year will be the fifth time that Lowndes has driven in a round at Barbagallo, and not only does he have a perfect record in round wins (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000) he has also won all 12 races that made up those four rounds.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's all hope his driving record remains intact for the next race, and proves that it wasn't just the bloody HRT cars which made it happen.

I hope so too, it'll tell us whether his car has the pace for the sprint rounds. They seem to be sweet with the enduros.
