Hi Guys,

This is my first post. Anyway, I just purchased a new 03 XR6 Ute. It’s Phantom with leather, hardcover, prestige sound, sports steering wheel, tow pack and tints. I pick it up on 9/01/04 (hopefully).

So im wondering if anyone that has lowered their BA Ute knows the measurements that it was lowered and some pic too would be good.

I want to put 19" wheels on at the same time as lowering hopefully the Monday after I pick up my new car.

Thanks in advance Guys

My ute has 19's and Herrods lowered spring that take the height down 35mm over stock XR's, see pic attached.

Nice!

Hows the ride lowered with your 19"s?
Ride's a little harsher than normal, as you'd expect. I do run the tyres at 45-46psi, and they are only 30 profile also which will have something to do with it. Getting rid of the Dunlops was the best thing I have done to the car.YUK!! The Hankook's rock.

hi baxr6ute, congratulations on the purchase of your Ute, nice choice of color too. If you are thinking of getting your car lowered give Herrods a call they have lowered lots of utes, cars and other mods for people here tell them you are a Ford Forum member you a 5% discount.

Nice.
Question: did you just lower the back of your ute? The shot of Teza's ute further down the page looks like he has maintained the slight gradient of the car. As I can't be arsed searching through all teh past posts on the subject, I'm also interested in knowing what is a good overall drop in ride height. I'm thinking about 35mm front and back to keep that gradient. Don't want to 'flatten' it out if you know what I mean.

And lastly.......
Does anyone know if Herrods is only offerring this 5% discount if you go into Herrods itself or can you go to one of their distributors and ask for the same deals?

Cheers,
Simmo.

Nope, Herrods all round! Might be that I'm parked in a gutter in the 1st pic? See new pic.

id be careful about lowering your ute to much .i have to be careful about the front scrubing when i park it at 45 degree parks and i dont feel confident on dirt roads as far as clearance goes either. Its not a nice sound when the underside or spoiler is being scrubbed out.
