Hi, I have had my mx6 for a year now and all of a sudden it started with misfiring after 3500 - 4000 rpm, but really bad. It sounds like a machine gun at the back of the exhaust. I have replaced plugs and leads. I can drive slowly and keep it below 3500rpm, sometimes going up a hill in 3rd or 4th gear it starts to misfire at even 2500 rpm. It also idles on 5 cylinders in the mornings when i start it up and 10-15 seconds you can actually hear the 6th one kicking in.

I was told it was my distributor that's faulty, and also told It's my distributor module that needs to be replaced.

Can anyone help, is it fuel lines, fuel preasure, distibutor (module)

Joe
