Looking to buy one in the new year, it's been really well looked after and already has some work done to it this includes: stage 2 fast road cams, 4-2-1 decat exhaust manifold, mid box removal, green cotton air filter and basic ecu remap. My aim is to safely squeeze as much power out of the original Zetec 1.6L engine as possible so therefore I'm looking for some guidance and recommendations in order to get there.

Regards,

Michael

Turbo with a low boost can get you moving. Just have to watch your compression ratio.

Sounds like most of it's done except maybe a more aggressive tune. Without a power adder or nitrous, possibly the only thing I can think of would be upping the compression ratio. Just remember in doing that, you may get stuck with filling with premium. I'd say, get her home and play around with her, you may choose to throw your money into suspension, brakes, or tires first.
