Guys,

I am yet to mod my BA GT, having waited to see how things developed over the first year. I am now keen to go and see the master at Herrods for induction, quad pipes etc.

My question is how do you guys go with your insurance companies regarding disclosure of your mods? I am with AAMI. Once the first mod goes on, do you need specialist insurance, and what is the cost involved.

Just a thought as I do not want to find out the hard way by having a claim rejected.

Also, anyone had any issues yet with warranty claims and mods?

just check with AAMI, i dont no if you can do any mods. my g/f's brother couldnt insure his car cuz it had extractors and and exhaust!!!

i am with RACQ, and i u get 30 points for mods, and each mod is 5 points. so , exhaust, extractors, suspension, brakes, stereo and that would b 25 points...

The annoying thing is that the extras you get from the factory are classified as mods.I optioned the GT with the GT/P steering wheel and that was classified as a modification on my policy.
