Ok some of you may wanna know about my new name Fozzie
In Europe, Ford sold what has to be the coolest hot hatch to ever roll off the assembly line. The Escort RS Cosworth. While sharing a similar size and shape as the US spec car, the similarities stop there. The RS has a Cosworth derived 2.0L 16V DOHC TurboCharged inline four producing 227hp and get this....All wheel drive!!!!! Ford of Europe sold several "hop up" packages enabling the engine to pump out 300hp. The car was made to conform to World Rally Championship Homogolation rules. In order for Ford to race this car in WRC it had to build a car with the same basic specifications. So birthed the RS Cosworth. The Brits dubed it "Cossie". In race form it used 7 speed sequential gearboxes and around 300-400 hp depending on the terrain.
So there no more scratching your head wondering what the heck Todd's screename means. Amen Borther.
