Hmm nice car mate, looks like in top nick. Looks like the same colour as my baby, Polynesian Green, blue green in real life. Way to go,

I have an ED Futura 4.00 and I remember when it looked like yours. Same colour but with the colour coded body mouldings and chrome inserts and I have the same Fairmont wheels and a Fairmont Bonnet emblem. I've changed mine a tad now, made some changes, sorry but don't have any pictures yet. (They are comming)...
The list of mods I have done so far goes:
*SSV Full Sports Body Kit.
*Tinted Windows.
*Python Alarm (A must).
*Full Pedders Sports Rider Suspension including all new
nolathane suspension bushes. (Lowered 30mm)
*Tickford Control arms.
*Pacemaker Headers. (with 18" extended secondaries)
2.5" Custom Exhaust with Hi Flow Cat and Hot Dog Resonators.
*Chiptorque HP4 Chip & Cam.
*K & N Filter.
*Tuned for Shell Optimax.
Then there is the stereo.... (But that's another story).
3.45:1 diff is on the way... not sure but I may also upgrade to a 2,500rpm torque convertor.
She goes like stink and loves to eat unsuspecting Holden 8's for dinner...

The chart after the Chip & Cam shows 180 BHP or 134 kw's at the rear wheels...
They checked it three times for me and on seperate days... I'm a bit sceptical as thats a lot of BHP for a six... It's stong but that's V8 territory...

Nipper, your car is definitly right in the power stakes, 134kw with those mods is spot on, when i got my car dynoed at croydon auto sports i got 114kw stock, they said that my car can get 130kw+ like your car with a few mods... :thumbup: :thumbup:

I saw a stock xr8 series 1 AU and it pulled 146kw at the wheels. Remember the windsors are very tight till 20k, so when they test it at the factory it is when the engine is new.

I'm real happy with the car. It also produces a healthy 960lbs of Torque.
It does suffer from wheel spin that won't get any better with the 3.45 diff.... Whooo can't wait.. The diff will get rid of the flat spot at around 2,000 - 2,500rpm and be stronger around town...
At 3,500rpm the car really launches itself and hits peak power at around 120kmh.
I would like to do some work on the induction next but I can't find any info on this for the IL6 prior to the EL... Any suggestions..

Why don't you take it to Barkly Street Footscray, put a mugen sticker on it, just outside the market, add a 20" spoiler and no problems you'll rid yourself of it in an hour!!
