Just thought I would post this now that work is quite

Was driving home from Kubli Khan Mongolian last nite with g/f mate and his wife, driving along Greenhill rd, I was going to turn down Pultney st ( for those of you that know Adelaide you will know where I mean ) decided not to and kept going.. just near those new Air Apartments complex mate calls out there is a car on fire, hooked left into the road pulled up next to a guy in his lancer who were already calling the fire brigade

Pulled out my digital camera and got about 10mins or so of footage of this car burning, probably got a bit to close then I should have hehe.. but got some footage of the seats that were used to help the fire, then the number plate, then a couple of explosions, so I backed up probably 50-75m or more away, kept filming saw the tank cath on fire, shot a bit of a jet out of the back.. then as the fireies came and put it out... ended up having about 8-10 cars there in total..

Feel sorry for the people that own the car (as long as it wasnt them that did it) as some scumbag has just done that.... hate ppl like that...

Was an eventful nite to say the least

Food was ok... tho today I have felt crook all day

sorry for the lack of pics so far.... how can i get pics out of the MOV file ? i will gladly put a heap up then

Kubla Khan is an excellent place though I love going there.

Wow, that looks like it could've caused a major fire with all those trees close by.

Yeah it started to spread into the grassy area next to the car, we were all standing there waiting for the tree to go up in flames as well.

Isn't that a Telstar rather than a mazda? The Mazda's have a differant set of rear lights
Looks like an AR/AS Telstar Sedan from those pics.
Same thing though

Same thing, weren't they originally made by mazda and ford took the car or was it the other way around ?

yep, during the huge 80's modelsharing era... mazda actually made the cars, and ford bought basic shells off them and built them up to how they wanted, same with the 323/laser

Its suprising how often cars catch alright, its often considered by the firies to be a "run of the mill" job. You've got to watch what's buring inside the car too, something like 200+ different toxic gases can be released at a car fire, plus you have the diffs, oil, coolant, and fuel tanks to contend with.

I had to put out a burning car once, only problem was there was a person inside!
I didn't even realise untill someone told me, and i had been leaning in the drivers window hosing out the interior without even noticing the corpse in the drivers seat it was that badly burnt.
Cars burn really hot when they get going!
