Car looks good!

The car is basically stock right now. With the exception of the rims. I would like to do the usual mods, exhaust, intake, cam gears, and of course lower it. The car is a blast to drive. How many miles do you have on your Probe? My buddy here has one like yours (3.0, 5-speed) with over 200,000 miles on it.

Mine is a 1990 and it's got 113k on it, not bad eh? I try to keep the miles low, I love my car, what do you think of your friends? Fast? :):):)

Yeah the newer GT is just slightly faster. The 3.0L holds up well considering that it's not even the GT model! The torque output is the same, but the horses are what's different, in this case 24hp different.

I've been working on my car alot with alot of modifications, the 3.0L can be made to be really fast and I'm hoping to be faster than any stock Probe here soon, including the GT's..

I miss my 93GT. Lost it to the bank, what a nice car, ergh.

Rather than me explain them, why not check out my homepage that's in my signature at the bottom of the message. From there you can see each one. There is still alot of things that could be done still. Don't even think I've got %50 of the stuff done to it that can be. If I had alot of money I could really show the potential of this engine.

What has your friend done to his 3.0?

The heads and the intake manifold, AND the phenolic spacers still have yet to be installed. I am going to install them all at the same time. I am guessing I should be able to get that done soon hopefully. I've been putting it off! But I know that it will make a big difference, the Heads, Phenolic Spacer, and Intake Manifold together should add another 30hp or so! So I should be cruising to the tune of about 180 hp, and 200tq at the flywheel after those are installed. This is just a conservative estimate, it may possibly end up higher. I still have ignition system upgrades, CHIP, Underdrive pulley, remove AC, headers, and all kinds of other crap that I can do. I'm hoping to reach at least 225hp before I give up on this car.

So is the warranty on your car keeping you from modifying it too much? I think you are basically limited to ignition, chip, intake, exhaust. Not sure if you could do internal engine work.. peace out!

Warranty?! I lost that almost 2000 miles ago. I drive entirely too much. :D The reason I haven't done much with the Focus is my Mustang (See Mustang members ride, "My 86 Coupe"). Besides, I like having a gas sipper.
