I've recently picked up a 1989 F-350 7.3 L and ive done a little bit of work with the batteries and now the hood won't close all the way and I've started to look at replacing parts and I'm still scratching my head. There isn't anything that I can see that's stopping it any advice would be helpful.

I had replaced them because the former owner only drove it in the summer and I had to move it but they were diying, so swapped them out and ended up having to put new cables in for the positive had snapped.

Is it a BCI Group 65 format? Did you replace the hold down clamps?

The hold down clamps were fine it was the battery cable it self it was sticking up to high so I moved the cable and it shuts all the way now. Now I need to find some new/used tires.
