Noticed over the past week, a 'whoop-whoop' noise from the rear, got proceedingly worse, dropped the car into local Ford today and they called me at lunch saying the diff is cactus and a new one has been ordered. Great Service on their part, but after a fuel line breaking when 2 days old and a few other problems it does leave one feeling a little uneasy (the car made on a friday afternoon maybe!?!?)...anyone else had a diff prob on an AU2 (I believe AU series 1 had a few diff probs but they were sorted put by series 2?)

It seems a problem with btr.If it makes you feel better G.M have the same trouble.Seem's more of a setup problem, backlash etc...But for how long can this GO ON fair dinkum !!!

If its under warranty then Ford is paying for it I know it still sucks having your car sitting down there at the dealership.
Once its out of warranty get it rebuilt by a pro and get a two year warranty on workmanship. ;+)
