G'day guys and girls. My name is cameron and i have just bought a ba pursuit build number 125. Traded my au 11 200kw pursuit on it, picked it up on friday 30th jan. Have just registered on this site, but have been browsing here for a while and have been particulary interested in AP 's problems. Mine was purchased from etheridge in vermont and has been there for quite a while it is a july '03 build.I spoke to Richard at FPV on friday to see if mine has the ring problems but i didn't have the sido number as i hadn't picked it up fingers crossed it doesn't but if it does "thats life" and they can fix it. It is blueprint auto with sports steering wheel, premium sound and silver gt stripes. It has standard brakes, which after reading the pad knock off problems i am kind of glad. I have read on here about the all ford day and am keen to turn up and meet some of you guys ans gal,s. I hope this new one gives me as much pleasure as my au11 and cant wait to get it to Mr Herrod for some
mods. Enough of my rambling, hope to meet some of you soon.
Regards Cameron

Umm, the Brembo pad knock off issue is only rare because there have only been 19 BA Pursuits made with the option. That equates to about 9% of all FPV Pursuits built in 2003 having the problem.

As for the engine issues re. oil consumption, rings etc mine chewed oil like it was petrol at one stage. Over 1l per 1000km early on. However, since 5000km I have not had to top it up at all and the level has remained constant. Even after a thrashing on the driver training day the engine is all good. And mine was in the first batch of 12 FPV core vehicles.

Overall you will love the Pursuit. Mine is undoubtedly an exception and when you look at all the issues I have had it all started from delivery when the car had numerous small damages. The lack of responsiveness from FPV to drive fixes in a reasonable time also added to frustrations. If the brakes were fixed, the paint was matched properly, and the suspension didn't hit the chassis rail I could no longer fault the basics of the car.

Here's wishing you a great time at the wheel of 125.....

Along with others I demand pics!!!!!! :bsr:
