I'm thinking of buying a GT of my own, but i'm definitely looking to do a little cosmetic surgery and smoe other upgrades. In terms of 17/18 inch wheels, what do people recommend? How much am i looking to spend if i wana upgrade my wheels? Is there anywhere else cheaper than tirerack.com? It seems like i could be paying about 1500 just for new wheels.

Also, do i need new suspension with those new wheels? Or is it fine to just pop off the old ones and put on the new ones with stock everything else?

I got new wheels. 17's with new tires cost me aboot $1500.

You shouldn't need any modification for new wheels as long as you remember to keep the overall size of the wheel/tire combo close to the stock diameter. Otherwise you are looking at throwing off you speedo...and no, that's not an excuse for getting out of a speeding ticket. :s5
