Any ideas when the next mod day will be?

I still have some work to do. I spent all weekend under my car and got the calipers painted, the Powerslots and Axxis pads on it; but I ran out of time & courage so I left the braided brake lines & fluid swap until later. I also wanted someone who's done it before around since I've never messed with a brake system until this Saturday.

I will hopefully have struts in a couple of weeks & will want to put them on--I'm holding out hope that it will be done before the Irwindale meet.

chris, the next mod day is this saturday. but you already know that because you're going to be at laguna seca again.

you suck! :p

anyhow, you better come to the meet the following week. we'll meet up at the usual spot, but really early since my run group is third and i want to walk the course first. i may run the cobra in this one too.

Sigh. I'm gonna get into trouble either way now...my sister's fiance just got a house & is moving then...so I keep pointing out I have already committed (or is that "should be committed?" ) to an autox/SCPOC meet.

Yes, I plan to show. I want to do all the meets, but scheduling is sucking lately.

I'll post some pics when I get them. BTW, I Stacey's car on ESPN this weekend. They covered the Touring Challenge race & did a piece on the Hot Imports thing. Got a shot of the cars on the track & there was the SCCA banner on the Probe in the midst of them.

It was a good race. I loved the fact that the 626 (nee MX-6, aka Probe :D ) was doing so well until it blew up :(

Unfortuantely I've read that team is switching to Proteges next year--but Mazda's practically giving them the new car.

Mazda *does* like to support their racers. If you can show race results from two races you've been in in a calendar year, you qualify to order stock parts from Mazda Competition at discount rates. (Otherwise they're not allowed to sell you stock parts, only race parts.) Your NASA or SCCA membership is also sufficient proof if you're preparing to race and haven't run any events yet.

I'll be we Probe drivers don't qualify--having a blue oval on the car and all :( Irvine-based, eh? I'll bet I drive by them twice a day...

I dunno 'bout that... Considering that "Ford Probe" is one of the listed applications for their Quaife LSD, I have the feeling that they'll support us... They certainly did OK by me.

i want to see how your car handles with the lsd installed howard. :D

i know i love the lsd that's in the cobra. it really helps keep the car in line under hard acceleration.

i'll have to check up on a probe lsd. that's one mod that will definitely help out.
