7/95 GrandMarq.4.6
Seems to be a split 94/95
Has an EDIS So I have to lean 94 .
No Start.
All fuses verified and Hot .
No fire at fuel Relay when key is turned. EEC relay works.
12v both sides, thru relay when key on. That's across coil to energize relay ,....
changed relays.
Pump runs when I manually trigger the relay....
So this rules out the Stupid Button in the Trunk.
If that is tripped it opens the circuit between relay and pump.
It's Not the Stupid Button..
Fuel pressure good when pump runs.
12 v at injectors.
Traced trigger wire thru harness to ecm. Continuity.
Good.
I show voltage on that wire,it never grounds at ecm to fire the relay.
Battery and Terminals new.all grounds checked, cleaned, upgraded,
New PCM.
New Ign Switch.
Has Spark .
Stumped,I need MAP programs for computer, what parameters is the computer needing to energize the fuel circuit.
Car ran fine until this.
WyoTech grad, Aviation,Heavy Equipment,Master Certified Automotive Technician.
Now Truck Driver.
So ya ,I've done all the hard stuff ,I need advanced diagnostics.
Anybody that can help me?

When you turn the key does the check engine light come on? Have you tried pulling codes?

Bought the best OBD 1-2 scanner on hand at O'reilly.
It's less of a tool than I expected.
I'm used to high end scanners.
Anyway, I can't get it to communicate ,scanner works on a gm.
OBD light plugs up and lights up.
I know about the lighter plug and fuse.. lighter inop.
Not sure of OBD wiring harness schematic.
I saw video last night ,guy had a pinout box for that plug.
I can't find resources for shit on this internet that was easier back then than it is now.
I ordered a 94 tech manual.
But it'll be a month before I get back off road and it'll be here.
I got 2 more days before I truck back out
Gonna check more stuff today.
I'm pretty sure check light comes on key on..I'll verify again.
Thx

I’m not 100% sure since yours is obd1 but on obd2 cars that means either the bulb is out or there’s a fault with the ecu itself. I’m inclined to believe it applies to your car as well though. Also you should be able to jumper the test connector and count the flashes of the check engine light, if it’s operational.

Hmm ok. My money is still on the ecu but yeah definitely get another code reader and check the codes if you can.

Unless it’s a hard fault preventing it from starting. Regardless, the ecu isn’t grounding the fuel pump relay for some reason. I’m not sure what more to suggest otherwise, sorry.
