Hey,
I was wondering if someone could advise me on the cost and procedures involved (ie Engine modifications needed) to hook up a NOS system to my EB Falcon (which has an EF2 XR6 engine)??

Thanks.

sorry I dont know about the NOS but I have just been offered an ELXR6 motor for my EB2 - was wondering how much was involved in the swap over - did u have to get a new ECU? Did the rest of it just basically bolt straight in???
Thanks

Hey Kypez XR6,
I have been running nos my EB GLI for
almost 14 months.
I first started with the single dry manifold setup
but had a few problems, that cost $995.
Then i bought some extra pipes and nozzles
for $450, which split the single hose into 6.
Now it runs the nos direct port just before
the injectors.
I run the car at the creek very often, when
the car was stock it ran ET 16.156
60FT 2.463
MPH 85.62

Now my best with slicks is ET 13.270
60FT 1.774
MPH 99.98
My NOSYSTEM is best!
CHEAP HORSES GET ONE!

kypex XR6,
I got all my nos products from Mcdonald
bros in melbourne.
They can send stuff C.O.D.
The beast of a motor has no internal mods with 165000Ks.
Some other mods i have done are,
HM extractors with cat all 1 piece $1000,
3 inch s/s section welded exhaust $550
and i change diff ratios from 3.27 3.89.
A couple of other things u really should buy,
a bottle warmer $330
and pressure gauge $110.
Those 2 things really help me 2 do consitant times.

I have done some work on the car. It has 2 1/2" exhaust and I will be getting Genie extractors in the next fortnight. but I will add those gauges and NOS system soon. Maybe I can have a look at your car if you are a member next club meeting (if thats ok with you!! or am I pushing it??!!!)

Thanks Again!

EB ON NOS.

How much extra HP does your NOS kit push? I have got a NOS kit on my ELXR8 and have just bent a valve and cracked a piston :-(.
The apparant reason was over revving the engine, which may have happened......(NOS is very savage in a manual V8).
Have you had any trouble with your six?

Chewie.
My current kit is about 100hp.
The original kit i had ,was the single line and
found it was melting plugs.
That was because it wasn't giving an even flow 2 all the
cylinders.
Now i have changed 2 a colder plug with the custom
setup and have had no more problems.
(FINGERS CROSSED).
What hp is your kit?

EB ON NOS

My current setup gives me 265hp at the wheels, but with exhaust and intake changes the figure should jump to about 300hp. The kit is set at 90hp because of the valve problem, but with stronger internals it is adjustable up to 150hp.

Hi kypez xr6,
I fitted the kit myself.
If end up getting a kit, more than happy
2 give u a hand installing it.
