First, I'm a little retarded. I originally posted this as a comment to an old post. My problem: I have a 73 Ranger on a 78 F150 drive train with a 5.0 out of a Mustang. Unfortunately, I didn't do the work. Who ever did the change cut back all of the wires not needed for the control of the engine... including the scanner port. I can find what pin numbers are what on the PCM, but I can't find what pins on the port go to where. Since Ford changes color codes from year to year and model to model, just yanking a port out of a junkyard is not necessarily going to clue me in. Any help? Eventually I plane on doing a total re-wire with loam to neaten it up and get rid of the misc. shorts and grounds on the '73 wiring, but right now, I'd just like to be able to see what's knocking... so to speak.

Been there, done that... didn't define which pin was which. I actually found it by accident looking for something else about 5 minutes ago.... in here!

Guess that's why I joined.
