I just have to say that it is interesting that the SS Commo guys are getting 165kW at rear wheels stock. How much mods are reqd to get close to that in the XRs. :fmad:

The Holdens get major power from exhaust and MAF alone (minimal cost).

My question is, what figures do the manual T series do on a Dyno Dynamics dyno? That should tell us what the AU3 XR will do.

Well i reckon that the ford guys at the dyno day pull decent figures. I mean the GTS in the pre-VT2 days made 215kw and the GTS-R was 230kw at the engine. They had the stroked 308's and made the capacity 5.7. I think reading around the most powerful 308 wth the XX3 option produced 195kw, i reckon the 302 of Ford making 200 and 220kw out of the factory is pretty good.
If we get that stroked windsor we'll be getting 170-180 and the wheels stock no problems.

I damn wish that the XR8 will get a slightly de-tuned stroker 302 producin 225-230kw, that will show the holden guys.
:D :D :D

I think the best figure of the dyno day was 166kw at the wheels, correct me if i'm wrong.

Oh yeah pete,

About your question i reckon the 220kw TE's will be makin about 155 - 160 at the wheels, cause they tested an auto ts-50 on the straps and produced 144kw.
Thats my hunch....

Being an auto TS50 isn't that the 220

I would assume an extra 5kW tops for a manual. Say 150 at the rear wheels. Maybe Ford are going back to the EB GT days (lying about the real power).

As for Holden strokers, my GTS-R did 184 stock. The rumour is Holden understated the power of the Holden strokers with the updated exhausts. The torque especially is now believed to have been closer to 530Nm than the quoted 480 or so.

Just like the Cobra R which is stated at 380hp but is really over 400hp. It must be nice to know that your car really does have more power and torque than the official figures, far better than finding out that it is under powered:)

Sorry guys for the misinformation, browsing my wheels mag there was a comparo between an a TE50 Series 1 and 250i Clubsport. Both were auto's and they strapped both on the dyno the results were 144kw for the TE50 and 192kw for the Clubsport at the wheels.
What i said before about the TS-50 with 144kw is wrong it was the TE-50 with 200kw at the fly.

So yeah i bet a TE-50 series 2 with 220kw and manual will be putting out around 160kw at the wheels.
