Would it work? Putting a computer out of a P71 from same years Vic into my 93 Marq? What would it do?:rocking:

It should work just fine. It will raise your speed limiter from the factory 105mph to over 120+, not sure of the exact speed. (The Marquis and Civilian Vics are limited by the steel driveshaft, it has a vibration dampener on it that wouldn't like spinning that fast )
It is also going to give you more agressive timing, later/firmer shifts, and raise your idle speed a couple hundred RPM.

the swap worked fine for me in my 93 LX... I got it from a 94 PI. Top end is 129

I do believe that the computer has to be out of a 95 and older PI though... Not sure - check over at www.crownvic.net . Merc.

The computer would have to be from a car older than '95. In '95 they went to the newer OBDII computers, and it isn't compatible with the older EECIV system.
