I get chips all the time on mine, its been re-painted 3 times in the last 2 years. You can try touching it up but up close you will be able to notice it. They make this stuff that I was going to check on, its used to cover golf balls and suposedly it won't chip and you can't see it.

Sweet truck

I almost bought a Ranger that color but opted for the bright green instead. Did you do the engine swap yourself? If you did.... how difficult was it? Total cost, if you don't mind me asking?

My 4.0 has 70k on it and when it finally goes sometime in the far future, I may want a swap in a 302.

Thanks!

I didn't do the swap myself, i bought the truck at Carlisle AFN, the swap was already done, the guy had 12k in receipts from the swap, he had a shop do it. I recently blew the motor in it so I've got in all tour apart. I'm in the process of getting ready to drop in the new motor, putting in a new rear end, shaving the firewall and painting the engine bay, It's been a long winter!!!! The swap it self doesn't look like it would be too hard, just splicing all the wires togother looks like fun;) If you want more info on swaps go to www.rangerpowersports.com, or www.fordranger.com swap board. Later
