Stripe is positive - it's always the "hot" lead that is distinguished.

actually, it doesn't really matter as long as you use the all the same ones(stripes or no stripes) as Positive or negative. If you use, say, solid on one side of your car as positive, and the other side you use stripes as positive, you speakers will be out of phase. Resulting in them cancelling themselves out and having no bass response. so as long as you use all stripes as positive or vise vs. you'll be fine.

I always say that colored stripes are positive and black stripes are negative :shrug:

I got it figured out, the problem was that I think I wired my fronts as stripe negative, and the rears as stripe negative :darin:
