It's all about the body style, you get american designed with Japenese reliabity;) and besides Mustangs are so played out:(. Everyone has one or worse they have a Camero:(

I like because it looks better than the 87-98 Mustangs. Though the 94-98s look better than what they did,I still perfer the looks of the Probe GT. I know this will cause an argument but facts are facts, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I like those model years of Mustangs. But, the 93-97PGTs just looks alot sleeker, the interior is fantastic everything is at your finger tips, the suspention is great as well, I can take corners that most other cars can't take , it also made car of the year in 93. Insurance is another reason. I still get asked what Ford is that, is it new ? I say no , Ford doesn't make it anymore. Besides, you see Mustangs on every street corner. Mine is becoming rare, and unique. Also I've had two Mustangs already a 66 and 67. I'm buying a 99 or 00 MustangGT withend two years cause I like the way they look. Those are my reasons for owning a Probe GT.

Dont even get me started on this topic! :D My reasons (the ultra chopped-short version): awesome exterior/interior styling, reliable 2.5l Mazda V6 is powerful and yet not a gas-guzzler, GREAT handling, and affordability...

Steve, oh NO YOU DIDNT!!!! :D

It's definetly about the style.. I have one of each generation probe. they look so much more stylish than the Stang. Plus the stang is to small inside. I've never been able to get comfortable in a mustang.. Plus the Mustang is toooooooo trendy.. everyones got one.

Probe guys, you have been good to me on the site, BUUUUUT I would have to go with ANY Stang hands down. Looks, power, HUGE parts aftermarket, and IF the probe was still being made it would be a EVERYONE HAS ONE model also.....

It all depends on what you want. If you want a good quarter mile time and crazy raw power on a straight line you need a Mustang. But, if you want something that is fun to drive in turns, autocross, and if you want a great handling light and quick car you need a Probe. You dont need much skills to just floor it and go fast but you need to know how to drive in order to get the most out of the Probe's great handling capability.
Also, in my opinion a nice Probe GT looks a lot better than a Mustang (there are exceptions...). But thats just ME and MY taste...
Your right about the lack of aftermarket attention unfortunatelly...

i have to agree on both sides, while the mustang has the raw power and straight line, and the probe has the cornering ability...i have both :D (no disrespect to either car intended)

i liek both kinds of cars, but i wanted something a little bigger that still had get up and go and good cornering... so i went with the Tbird SC.
