G'day all, finally got around to borrowing a digital camera off a mate to take a few pics of my car. Hope you like em. I'd like to think of it as an XR8 without the quad lights.;)

Thanks all. Yeh I would have taken a pic of the inside but alas it's the family car and the mess and crap inside made me not take one. I'll clean it up and take one soon. Basic leather and momo wheel n stuff.Very cozy.
XLR8, it's got the Tickford suspension already and rides pretty firm.I dunno if i'd want it much lower.Mind you it would look even better I agree.

Is that Dual Tip Exhaust standard or did you steal it off an XR8? ;)

That's the way she was when I got it.It was previously a Ford Exec vehicle so whether or not they done it I don't know. The whole reason I bought it is because it's got everything from Tickford that you could option from the factory (so the plaque says under the bonnet) and I wouldn't have to do much if anything at all. I'm glad 'cause I still haven't seen one exactly the same yet, close but not exactly. Unlike other cars getting around.
Here's a rear pic anyway. Will get them Interior pics soon.

What sort of fuel consumption are you getting?
How many Kms were on the clock when you got it and how ,many have you done?
Fuel consumption...mmm let me see.Well if the missus is driving it around town it proberly only gets around 15L/100km.Me driving it around town, 20L/100km. The wife drives it more often than me.I don't get a chance during the week.:(
On the highway it gets down to about 8 to 9/100km so so the trip comp says which gives it about 650/680 to the tank. Only ever done one good trip where I took any notice. That was to Winton Raceway.
The car had about 22K on the clock when I got it and now it's got 35k on her. That's in 10 months.

Exec's only. There was actually 2 of them to look at when I went to have a look.(Courtney & Patterson in Melbourne). Mine and a gold one.The gold one was nice but it was a little more expensive(less K's) and it didn't have the momo wheel. So I went the Black one.The wife wanted the gold one, easier to keep clean but I liked the Black one.(meaner). Anyway, if I got the gold one I wouldn't have been able to say " Yeh it's got everything I could possibly option".
I never even drove the Gold one as the exec who drove it didn't want to give it up and wouldn't let us take it for a drive.Mind you it was advertised.:WH:

Must say thats a gorgeous car you got there, love the full body kit treatment. She's a beauty, hehehe on one of your pics there you got a camry as contrast.
Is it a V8 or VCT engine. The dual exhuast goes very well with the fairmont chrome trim on the back.

Ahhh by looking at your piccies makes me want an AU fast. Only problem i don't have any money.

Thanks for the response EF_Falcon_GuY. Yeh it's your standard run of the mill 175KW 5.0 Windsors. Mind you, if I wasn't so addement that I'm getting an AV in a couple of years I'd definitety be seriously looking at that fully balanced stroker conversion from Herrods.:mmm:
And yes, the Black is a good colour but it's the hardest to keep clean I know that.

Yeah I know its a late reponse, but better late than never. ;)

This is one great car you got there Rastus! A stunner mate, well done. It just goes to show you how nice the basic body shape of the AU is, there really isn't that much wrong with the base cars. The profile of this car is just awesome!
