Can any one tell me if ? and how ? to fit the roof console from the AU11 sedan into a 3/2000 au1 xr6 ute.

hey there cmtwo99,

i have an au2 ute and it came with the console in the roof. from this i assume it would be very easy. i havn't compared my roof linning with an au1 but you would think it would be just a matter of cutting a neet hole and slotting it in.

yep, looks easy enough. but you would probably have to remove the whole roof lining to run a wire from the other interior light. the unit itself doesn't appear to be fastened to the roof at all, just clipped into the linning.

Thaks but the console i'm talking about is the one that allows you to store ya sunnies , not the small twin light deal, thats whats in the roof now.

yea, thats the one i meant. its got two little reading lights at the front and a sunnies holder that drops down.
