Why is Ford's rental amount set at $45.00 a day payout on safety recalls? When was the amount last reviewed? Wife took in the 2023 Bronco WildTrak for a scheduled safety recall repair today and do to the avg cost for a rental being $85 a day now, she had to set for hours at Todd Judy Ford waiting on a vehicle the amount Ford pays to become available.

Not recently that's for sure. Most dealers have arrangements with a rental companies and can get a reduced rate for their repair customers. Did they even offer? $45 bucks is not enough.

By my understanding the dealership has arrangements with the rental company. With Ford only paying $45, the rental company only provides limited options and vehicles unless the customer wants to pay out of pocket. Went from the 2023 Bronco WildTrak to a Dodge car, that wasn't available until after 4pm today. 445pm before she was able to get in it and drive home. She arrived at 1115am for the scheduled appointment at 1130am. So five hours of waiting for something to happen that should have only taken an hour or less. Not happy with the situation. Do feel Ford needs to do better and change protocols.

I wouldn't be happy either. I feel that if your vehicle is in the shop due to a recall and it will need to be kept overnight, they should just loan you a vehicle or cover the entire cost of a rental. After all, its not your fault the vehicle is in the shop.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your experience with the safety recall repair and the rental car payout from Ford. I'm not entirely sure why Ford's rental amount is set at $45.00 per day, but I believe it's been that way for a while. It might be worth contacting Ford directly to ask when the amount was last reviewed and if they have any plans to update it in the near future. In the meantime, I hope your wife was able to get the repair taken care of and that it didn't cause too much inconvenience. Take care!
