Ok folks, let's not wait for someone to ask a question here. You can use this board to post the vast knowledge you have accumulated over the years. Share things that you have done that made your Mustang drive better, ride better, or my personal favorite GO FASTER!!!!!

I agree. Tell us anything that has happened with you and your Stang that may help others.
Also, if your visiting OTHER forum sites like this, please spread the word that we have a the BEST site around. Try asking other Stang forum sites to set up an area for your local home town club, or make you a private club that others can't see. Do their servers load as fast as this one? Do the have as little down/slow times that we do here!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?

First time writer.s-code here is a ? I don't own a mustang but this letter will discuss my friends mustang. He owns a 91 5.0 LX. He has installed 3.55,cold air induction, under drive pulleys short trough shiffter, and also mickey T street slicks. He ran 14.0s all day with this setup. My ? is his is looking to shave a good second off this time. Here is a list of things he plans on doing new headers 1 5/8, H pipe, flowmasters exuast, bigger injectors, larger thb, larger mass air. Now this is the real ? he is also looking into nitrous, supercharger or a holley max system 2. Does any one have addvice on any one of those systems. He is leaning toward the the holley system he is a all throttle no bottle kinda guy. The holley system is a intake heads cam ect. Well I will be the one doing most of the work so any suggestions would be appreciated. This will be a good winter project. Thanks

Re: 390 FE????

s-code, Why would you want to change from a 351C to a 390FE?
You can get more horsepower per cubic inch out of a Cleveland than almost any other production engine. Maybe for resto purposes?

First, let me say sorry for taking so long to post a response. The last 2 months have been hellacious at work. To the point I have been working 12 and 16 hour days. And since I work with computers I haven't felt like playing on one lately.

The answer to your question is simple. My car is a 67 S-code. What make a Mustang an S-code? A 390FE BB motor. With a 351 Cleveland, it is no longer a true S-code. While I know an S-code is not really considered a "rare" mustang, I rarely ever see one. Seldom do I go to a car show and see another S-code. So, I want to have something that is a little different. I do plan to mad the car and the motor, so I am not planning a concourse resto. But I want the meat of the car to be original. Hope that answers your question.

carl, buddy, I think you have come to the wrong guy. I am not to up to speed on the 5.0 motors. However, it sounds like your friend has a good base to work with. So, I would lean towards cheap power adders, ie: nitrous. More bang for your buck and the 5.0 block should be able to handle it pretty well. Have you posted anything in the 5.0 Forums?

It's funny you mention that as I was in Fayetteville, AR, visiting my parents and my in-laws just last week. I almost drove up to Missouri, I wanted to take my wife to Branson and go to Silver Dollar City. It may seem corny but we used to do that a lot when I was a kid growing up. I guess I was feeling sentimental. Anyway, do you think you could check an engine block on a plane?;)
