All usual electrics with digital dash
Tickford suspension with 17' wheels
SSV skirts
Standard sound system
Alarm
Imaculate with 165000km and service every 10000km
$10500

I think its a hell good buy and I love it! But then again I'm 17 turning 18, its kind off a 18th present from the old man! :)
What do you guys think?

Does anyone have a EB2 here??
If so what km can you get out of a tank???
COz I'm gonna be driving to uni everyday, equals to about 220km a week!!

My mums EL gets me about 480-500km out of a tank if i dont give it ****! Will the EB2 be the same as this??

What difference will the 3:27 diff ratio make???
Coz the EL is 3:08 as far as i know!

Thanks fellas!
The more you tell me the better because I really want it so I have to act before it sells!

From what i understand the EB2s did not have the digital dash?? Or was it the ED that Ford [email protected] them?

As for fuel economy expect about 450Kms to a tank in
the city, maybe more??.

The price seems pretty good, the Tickford Suspension and 17s are a bonus too. Make sure the tyres are good because 17s can cost a bit :(

Get rid of the side skirts though, they look sh!t IMO!

Oh and ask if you can have it for $9k cash, its worth a try ;)

And arrive with the cash in hand and show them, its amazing how far people(and car dealers) can be bargained when you have a FAT wad of cash in hand.

That's what I was thinking.
Sounds like a good buy to me fella. If it's got a service history that's a big bonus 'cause you can see what's been done to the car.
Just be careful on those 17's ;) They can burn a hole in the wallet pretty quick!!

They got rid of the digital dash in the EB2 - it should have an analogue dash for the EB2 and ED fairmonts/ghias

The only models to have the digital dash standard is the EA ghia and EB1 Fairmont and Ghia

Just make sure its an EB2 - check the build plate - EB2's were made from April 1992

I get around 450-500 klms on a tank - i do give it to it a bit - i suspect the 4.0 should give you slightly better fuel consumption.

If you have any questions on the EB sont hesitate to ask, as i went through the same thing getting mine :)

Yeah, not a bad price considering the extras and the service history! Make sure it's the EBII, the 4L brought some major changes well worth paying extra for. These are pretty reliable, the biggest problem being the head gasket. Check the usual stuff, like any signs of smoke from exhaust, or oil from engine, any strange rattles or sounds coming from the engine or transmission, and also check the smoothness of the transmission. If it's a bit rough between changes, you may have to allow for a new one sometime later, or at least a tranny service.

Nice wheels too, but as the others said, budget in for tyres in the future. 17's aren't as pricey as they used to be, but can still hurt the wallet. Personally, I'd go for it (if EB2). As suggested, I'd take cash to get a better deal. I agree with the comment on the sideskirts, they look a little plastic "glued on", but it's your call :) . But I reckon with these gone, and the darkest legal tinting possible, it'll be one sweet streeter! And definitely ready for modifications :)
