Can someone please tell me if a '92 5.0L Thunderbird engine is same block as '76 302? Will it fit in place of 302 in '76 Bronco and bolt up to C-4 Transmission?

Essentially yes.
the major issue will be the injection and flex plate selection.
The flex plate for a 76 should be 28 Oz and the 92 will be 54 Oz.
then i believe there are two different bolt spacings on the C4.
the final issue is number of teeth on the ring gear to suit your starter.

This may sound a lot, but don't despair, my experience so far has shown that flex plates are available for all combinations i have tried. It just a matter of research.

Thanks Jas. I won't be using the EFI, will stay with carb.
Plan on using whole engine from TBird including starter so teeth shouldn't be an issue.
Hope the C4 torque converter bolts up; will be pretty simple if it does

your only issue as i see it is the torque converter (you have also mentioned it)

It is my understanding that the C4 has two bolt spacings for the torque converter.

If my memory serves me right its 10.5 inches and 11 inches.

Regardless, whichever you plan to use, the correct flex plate is available off the shelf, and the real experts will be able to tell you how to identify what you have, and what you need.
