I thought I'd share this response I received from a member of another Forum in relation to my comment on the current value of XYGT's etc as compared to BMW's. Hope you enjoy.


"Basically an old 73 model top of the line BMW will have increased its 'value' just as much if not more than your XYGT or GTHO, which in their day were close if not the same comparitivly in terms of their manufacturs line up of cars."

red book value on a 1974 BMW 3.3L sedan which was the top model then is

Trade in price guide* $700 - $2,400
National average price - private sale* $1,400 - $3,900
Price when new (RRP) $18,750

XYGTHO

Trade in price guide* $92,800 - $113,400
National average price - private sale* $104,200 - $131,900
Price when new (RRP) $5,302

note the prices when new, not much difference really.

Wish I had the money to buy 20 BMW's back then. LOLOLOLOLOL.
and a good P3 HO now is only worth $300,000.
