I've noticed that my rear end handles noticeably better with quite a load on board - by which I mean it responds better to and copes better with bumps, ripples, camber changes etc. My question is: does that seem to indicate that I'd do better to fit variable rate springs?

My thinking is that fairly well compressed single rate springs are probably beginning to behave somewhat like variables as far as tension vs movement "graph".

Hokay, I'm now in a position to answer my own question - for the benefit of others who might be wondering the same thing in future - yes, variables act very similarly to well loaded stds :s4
