I am thinking about purchasing a '93-'94 Probe GT. I don't know how to drive a standard yet. I plan on putting performance parts and upgrading it alot, so which is better. Are standards all that much better, or will an automatic be just as good?
the 1-2 I can, not the 2-3...yet. Mike can thoughGil Starr said:Can you squeal your wheels from 1st through 3rd in an ATX?I didn't mean to bash ATX's. I've had them and they are great especially in traffic.
That's good to know becasue I'm going to be buying an ATX for my wife. I tried to talk her into an MTXQuadCam_GT said:

Well I did/try learn how to drive a stick when I was 16. The car was a 83 RX-7, made it bark in all gears.dmark101 said:

So for my wife I should buy the ATX because she'll at least look fast and cool!dmark101 said:well, for the 2g probe, i would never buy an atx, regardless of the circumstances.

If I ever get my L10 stuff (just a matter of time and money as usual) I'll have one helluva robust drivetrain. Also, I'll be just as fast or faster than the 5 sp guys. Also, I won't have to worry about missing shifts or shift points. Look at all the high-power drag cars. Almost all of them are autos.
Just my 2 cents. If I get another Probe, that one will be manual. I'm going to drive this one tho until the wheels fall off. Hell, its paid for!![]()
