Hey I posted a thread but I dont see it up here. i just got a new 1991 Mercury Topaz. The steering is toast on it. I thought it might be an alignment issue.

How hard is it to fix the steering rack? I have not looked at the sub-frame yet, but all the metal looks straight, tie rods, steering, drive-train etc. Even where it bolts onto the frame it looks good. I think it might be further back where the frames bent.

The guy i bought it from said he hit a curb pretty bad.

go get an estimate man ask them to give a writin estimate explaing whats wrong with it, most of it is pretty easy with a few speciality tools.
