Where did u get the price of 1100 dollars from for the stroker??? And for the money of the crate engine I would do up the original motor with a charger or better internals

That price of $1100 is crank only. You'd be looking at $2800 which will include crank, rods, and pistons ready to install from COME racing!

Would the crank only give you any benefits, I have not heard of these kits.

check out www.comeracing.com they seem to have their kits already nutted out.

Their crank only kits are there for those that are going to be supplying their own rods and pistons. Correct me anyone!

go to vpw or some one like that and get yourself scat or eagle stroker kit,
get forged pistons, cast steel crank(minimum)forged if you have the dollars,h beam rods bla bla bla
on a personal note.....i have a 347 stroker
do lots of homework, dont buy cheap stuff if you want it stay in 1 piece, unless you aren't going to rev the snot off it(yeah right!!)

i dont have a torque comparison from my old 289 to my new 347
but i currently get 450nm rear wheel torque
Hope this helps.....Dave

347 is right, go to VPW.
For $2500 you get........
"VPW offers a wide range of Stroker Engine Packages. The most common stroker kits are listed here and are only some kits offered. VPW carefully piece’s these kits with only brand name product. * KB Hyper Pistons. * Scat or Ace rods, H-Beam or I-Beam. * Scat or Ace steel or nodular crank. * Speed Pro ring set. * Clevite Bearings. * Felpro Gaskets. * Melling oil pump. * Proline engine block (Option)."

If your happy with a 9000 series cast crank, good for 500HP, you can get the same kit for $2000.

C.O.M.E. specialise in chev and holden engines, their windsor stroker kits are a crappy attempt to get more money out of more of the public. Their kits are more expensive and have less in them. They have designed their kit to use std chev rods, and have modified thier crank to suit.
Go the VPW kit, best value for money, i have just spent about 2 months researching this to make sure i et the best kit for my engine.

to get a true 347cu, you will need to bore the block 30thou. If you want to stick with std pistons, you will only end up with 341ci. Apart from that there is not really anything else you need to do to put it in, but to get the best out of it you will need a better breathing top end.
Ported heads, or after market heads, upper and lower intake, TB, maf, cam, ........... and so on.
But you can just put the kit in, and drive as is, will give you a lot more torque donw low. WIll loose some of your rev range in a std application, but you will not loose power.

I say go for it.

How much power would that application as mentioned above get at the wheels?
Would a supercharger bolt to that combo easily?

Power output is individual to each engine, and depends on other engine mods.
As for the charger, hell yeah. Pump it in as fast as you can. :)

Well I was actually thinking of doing somethin along those lines for a project. I am going to buy an AU2 Futura as a daily car and either pulling my EBXR8 off the road for a rebuild or selling that and buying a XE-F ute 351c and putting together a decent package together with tubs, 18's for show and mild race. I really dont know what I'll end up doing yet but the sound of a stroked & blown windsor is very tempting indeed.

Any thoughts?

Well as you can see from my signature, i am all for the blown\stroked windsor concept. There have been a lot of people that have done it sucessfully, its just trying to do something different to everybody else thats hard.
You are definatley on the right track if this is your plan. They are a good solid engine that you can adapt to almost any combination.

Good luck.

Personally I would say you'd be best to go with the XE ute. if you spent $9500 on the windsor ($2500 for the stroker and $7000 for the blower) in the EB, possibly be into the 12's? $9500 the 351 i'd say you'd be running well into the 11 second zone in an XE ute.

Go the ute, you could also use a 351W and run Clevo heads to be on the cheap side, the 351W has a better block and easy to stroke if need be. I.e. stroke up to about 420ci standard block or 454 SVO block.

The bottom of the cylinder walls need machining to clearance rod bolts..That depends on which rod is used though..Clearancing piston cylinder bore is very important due to side thrust of piston against cylinder wall with the short rods and longer stroke, poor rod ratio..Blown and stroked with enough boost will split a 5 Ltr block easy...

Note the notch on cylinders for clearance:::
