I've visited the site (mustangsvo.org) quite a bit, but have never registered the car. Have thought about it though, once I get back into driving the car often again, I will probably register it. It's been mostly in storage the past 7 years, which is why it's only indicating 50,000 miles. I really love to drive it, but hate to see it get "old".

I've registered my SVO already. I am a member of the SVO Club of America www.scoca.com

The guy I bought mine from had it stored most of the time also which accounts for it only having 46,400 miles on it when I bought it. Since then I've put about 1,200 on it.

hi, i know this an old post but i just joined the forum. i have an 86 SVO. it is mainly stock with a down pipe, an E6 manifold, an 8.8 rear, and a turbo coupe intercooler. it is in the paint shop right now and i can't wait to get it back. i bought it 5 years ago and it was original paint so i had no hidden damage. it is charcoal gray with gray leather. here is a pic of it getting ready for the paint shop after all of the original paint finally fell off (well it does have 190,000 on it!).hawkrod

Whew, you've got a little work ahead of you there. But it sounds like the car is basically in good shape, and should look great after the paint job. Might want to look at polishing the wheels too, they can look like this if you strip them and use a BUNCH of elbow grease.
